St. George church at Kangarappadi in the diocese of Angamali, completed 25 years of its establishment in 2005. The church was consecrated by the diocesan Metropolitan H.G. Mor Dionysius Thomas (Catholicos Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I) on 23rd May 1980. The main altar of the church is in the name of Mor Geevarghese Sahdo (St. George) and the altars on either sides are dedicated to Holy Virgin Mary and Mor Kurikose Sahdo. The relic of St. Gregorios of Parumala (holy vestments used by the Holy father) is installed in the church.

The memory of Mor Geevarghese Sahdo celebrated on April 23rd is the main feast of the church. Spiritual Organizations like Marth Mariam Samajam and the Youth Association are very active in the parish. There are three shrines (kurishumthotti) under the church; of this the one established at Kangarappadi junction in the name of St. George was established on 15th December 1978.
